Bunka-sai Japanese School Festival

Set 19, 2014 by

Hi friend,

Autumn is coming!

For school students (mainly high school), autumn is the season for school festival – Bunka-sai.

At Bunkasai, students open booths which are full of their ideas.

Popular ones are Cafes, Haunted houses, or exhibitions.

They are usually opened by class or clubs.

At the hall, they enjoy bands / orchestra, performances, theatrical plays or even lottery events.

Sometime a famous person is invited as a surprise guest.

Surprisingly, most part of the organization is done only by students.

Some members are selected for the festival and they plan it. It is one part of the Japanese education system, i think.

Now, if you were a Japanese student, what would you like to try?
